Autumn Term in Nursery

We have been very busy in our first term together in Nursery. We started our topic ‘All About Me’ by painting pictures of ourselves to decorate our cloakroom area. Next, we moved on to thinking about keeping our bodies healthy; learning about cleaning our teeth and starting our Brain Gym exercises.

We then talked about what we would like to be when we grow up and worked together in groups to create large collages of different jobs – can you guess what the jobs are?

Then, we looked at where we live; we talked about our own homes and what they look like and painted pictures of different types of homes to create our own town.

As the weather has started to change, we have begun to look at the season on autumn. We went on a welly walk to find signs of autumn and collected leaves to add to our memory cards. We listened to the story ‘The Scarecrows Wedding’ and worked together to create Betty and Harry as part of the whole schools Harvest celebration.

We used vegetables to create our printing pictures too.

We have had a very busy term and are looking forward to learning and exploring more when we come back after half term.
