Wow! What a busy September we have had! Here’s some pictures of our learning from the start of our Year 2 learning journey. And what a fantastic start it has been too!
This term, Year 2 have been working up to designing, making and evaluating a bridge to cross a river for a model person. As part of their design process, the children have been testing materials and developing ideas through mock-ups for their bridge deck and supports.
At the start of the year, both classes have been taking part in Golf Lessons with a Golf Coach. The children have been learning how to use a golf club to putt and chip.
In Science we have been exploring use of everyday materials.
As part of our Maths this term, we have been exploring numbers and place value. The children have been working hard to use resources to support their learning, and we have had lots of fun playing Maths games too.
