Our School

Welcome to our school website. We hope you will find the information you need here, but if you need to know more please contact us.

Our school is a large two form entry First School. Our children range from the age of 4 to 9 years. At the age of 9 the children move onto the middle and upper school.

Nursery times are 8.30am through 3.30pm, session dependent.

Reception classes (Finch and Wren) open doors from 8.40am through to 8.55am.
Year 1 to Year 4 Classroom doors open at 8.45am and remain open for 10 minutes until 8.55am.
Registers close by 8.50am.
Any Reception to Year 4 children arriving after 8.55am will need to go directly to the school office (for registration and to give lunch choices)
At the end of the day the children will leave the classroom at 3.15pm.

I am proud to be head teacher of such a unique and special school. It has a happy and caring atmosphere, which is the result of us all working together as part of the team; children, staff, parents, carers and governors. We all strive to ensure that the children achieve as well as they can and help them to develop a love of learning.

We follow a largely creative curriculum which aims to motivate and stimulate the children’s interests by making the learning relevant and exciting. We aim for our children to leave us well equipped with the skills and knowledge to help them in their next steps in education and to have the resilience and perseverance to keep trying to achieve their best.

Our school aims are the basis of our work in school:

  • We place the needs of our children at the heart of everything we do.
  • We are all part of a team, children and adults; and expect everyone to do their best.
  • We believe that learning should be fun and enable children to do their best.
  • We share our achievements and celebrate their success.

We are all so proud of our children and our school. We would be delighted to have the chance to meet you and show you more.

Please contact the school office to arrange a visit. We look forward to welcoming you.
